End Sectarian Marches in our town

Fermanagh 32 County Sovereignty Movement wish to condemn in the strongest possible terms the ignorance and arrogance of the Parades Commission in permitting a Loyalist parade through the 98% Nationalist village of Newtownbutler- where it is not welcome. This Parade is scheduled for Friday 2nd of July at 8pm.

The Parades Commissions decision has angered the Nationalist residents of the village and salt rubbed into the wound with no restriction being placed upon this Loyalist march, while limits have been put on the Nationalist residents plan to hold a protest against this sectarian parade.

The people of Newtownbutler simply want to be left in peace and Loyalist marches re-routed away from our area.

Despite the huge social and political risks presented by contentious parades, Newtownbutler and other Nationalist communities are being subjected to unjust curfews for the duration of these anti-Catholic marches.

For too long the Republican and Nationalist community of Newtownbutler have had their human rights trampled on by the annual invasion of adrenalin-filled storm troopers intent on forcing sectarian parades through our district.

Given the widespread concern, apprehension and fears which are being expressed by many within our local community the Fermanagh 32 County Sovereignty Movement with the N.A.R.C (Newtownbutler Area Residents Committee) and other groups feel that we have no choice but to make the following intervention and call for the support of the wider Nationalist community to stand with us in solidarity and protest at this bigoted sectarian and coat trailing exercise by Loyalist marchers.

Reroute the flute! End Loyalist sectarian marches in Newtownbutler! Come join us in protest on Friday 2nd of July and let us send a united message from Newtownbutler that Loyalist triumphalist marches are not welcome in our town.

Fermanagh 32csm POW Protest

Fermanagh 32 County Sovereignty Movement are holding a protest in support of the Republican prisoners in Maghaberry gaol on Saturday 19th of June at 3pm Cornagrade road, Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh.

The demand is simple we want Political Status restored to the Republican POWs in Maghaberry gaol.

Our POWs are now being criminalised and brutalised by the very same system that the Blanket Men and Hunger Strikers fought against .Theirs is the same Demand.

We demand the immediate reinstatement of the humane and safe living conditions within the prison regime which were implemented following the tragic hunger strikes of 1981. We demand the immediate end to controlled movement which is being used by the screws to isolate and intimidate prisoners. We demand the immediate end of degrading and humiliating strip searches.
We demand the end of the free rein given to the POA in reversing the gains of 1981 and their determination to implement a regime based on brutality and sectarian bigotry.

The treatment of Republican Prisoners Of War and political prisoners alike in Maghaberry gaol is nothing short of disgusting and inhumane. The abusive treatment by Prison employees has escalated drastically in the past few weeks.

The media have been absolutely deafening in their silence about this torturous campaign waged against our incarcerated Republicans comrades. The only reporting of this issue is coming from the Republican groups supporting these men and from a few humanitarian organisations.

Maghaberry prison is a prison not fit for purpose the prison is a place of denial of liberty, it is not a sadistic toy to be utilised as a centre of brutality and psychological terrorisation where defenceless prisoners are subjected to the degradations of the hostage, as in Maghaberry today.

We will not stand by and allow this draconian regime to continue unchallenged in Maghaberry prison. These prisoners are human beings and as entitled to protections under human rights legislation as any of us. If the media are refusing to document and shame the system for its vile actions, it is up to us as Republicans to take to the street to protest, poster and challenge this regime, we owe our comrades that much.

We call on all Republicans to come and stand with us in solidarity with the POWs at this protest. They can ignore one of us, but they cannot ignore all of us.

Internment Of Tyrone Republican Condemned

The 32 County Sovereignty Movement in Fermanagh condemn in the strongest terms the arrest, charge, and internment of Tyrone Republican and EX POW Conor Casey from Cookstown.

To be an Irish Republican today with a belief in ending British rule in the six counties and restoring national sovereignty and re-unification is a crime in the eyes of Britain’s administration here.

To campaign politically in pursuit of these aims is so great a crime that you could find yourself effectively interned and spending a considerable number of years in prison as a result.

One has only to examine this case where Ex Republican POW Conor Casey was arrested and charged under new British terror laws for attending the funeral of his friend and comrade John Brady who died at the hands of the British PSNI/RUC.

Various similar cases which have been thrown out of court after several years, or to look at the length of time, in a number of cases, over two years, which individuals such as that of Belfast Republican and Ex POW Terry Mc Cafferty serves as a stark reminder to all of us.

And of course, that system of internment by remand is compounded by a judicial system which makes the conditions for securing bail extremely difficult.
